Spreading Molecules

We've been mad scientists this week. Get two glasses or jars. Fill one with hot water and the other with cold.(from sink) Get food coloring. Quickly add a drop of food coloring to each glass. Watch what happens. Does the food coloring spread faster throughout the hot or cold water? Try it again using water from the fridge and some not-so-hot boiled water. We haven't yet. Compare.
